Owned (at that time) by Jonathan Crow, chairman of the trade body the Game Farmers’ Association (GFA).

Animal Aid investigators found 20 occupied sheds with verandas, with dead and dying chicks in all 20 sheds. We found wheelie bins full of maggot-ridden adult birds, chicks and eggs.

Action: Animal Aid found that this business had not paid business rates for 18 years and reported the farm to HMRC, which demanded the business pay in future.

We also requested a meeting with Defra Ministers Richard Benyon and Caroline Spelman to discuss our findings here and at other game farms. Our request was declined.
